Ook-lay in the Ag-bay

So it’s the 31st here in Australia and that means it’s Halloween, only the best day of the whole year!  And, better yet, because of the time difference it’s not yet Halloween in the US so this is only Day 12 of the 13 Days of Halloween at Simply B Stamps so there’s twice the Halloween fun.

For my project today I’m featuring Fluffy Monster Christian on a coffiny shaped tag, as the Day 12 theme is Halloween shaped card.

This project shows you that the combination of a shape, good designer paper and an awesome image is all you need for a great looking card.  All I added was a little bling on the spidery shape at the bottom.

Being a Halloween inspired tag I am also entering it in the current challenge at Try it on Tuesday.  The bling I added is not only orange but also from my stash (I have more gems than I know what to do with!) as is the Halloween sentiment sticker so I’m also linking this up at Clear It Out’s current challenge.

The Book of Christian

So we had the Jude album now it’s all about Christian, and, yes, this is another pic heavy post.

I’ve used another of the Teresa Collins covers for this one with the Christian Portrait image.

For the front page I’ve used Christian Count Drac.

Pages 1 and 2 feature Christian Bwains and an earlier Spooktober project, the details are in this post.

Pages 3 and 4 use an earlier Spooktober project, for details see this post, and have Zombie Dino Christian on them.

Pages 5 and 6 are my entry to Day 11 of the 13 Days of Halloween at Simply B Stamps and feature Vamp Christian.  The theme was a famous ghoul, I think there is none so famous as Dracula or any vampire for that matter so I think I’m safe with that theme.  The little mat that Christian is on follows the sketch at Papertake Weekly so I’m also entering this there.

Page 7 and 8 use a non-Halloween image but I think he looks pretty Halloweeny, it’s Christian Skellington.

On pages 9 and 10 I’ve used the Spooktober project from this post and Christian the Dark Hero.

Pages 11 and 12 feature another Spooktober project, from this post, and Christian Addams.

And finally, Page 13 features Christian Count Drac again.

Hey Jude!

Today features another special project, a whole album full of Jude!  And a warning, this is a pic heavy post.

The cover was a project I did earlier this year and features Jude Portrait and the details can be found at this post.

For the front page I’ve also used an earlier project featuring Jude Spook, you can find the details of this project at this post.  I just added in the title and year using stickers from the Chillingsworth Manor Alpha sheet.

When it came to pages 1 and 2 I used some mats I made extras of from another project I featured earlier in Spooktober, the details are in this post.  The image here is Little Monster Jude and I added some BoBunny Whoo-Ligans’ stickers to complete the layout.

Pages 3 and 4 feature an earlier Spooktober project, for details see this post.  They feature Jude-Stein with the sentiments cut from the DCWV  Witches’ Brew stack.

Pages 5 and 6 also feature a Spooktober project, see this post for details.  Power Suit Jude graces this layout and I added some extra tags, CTMH epoxy and metal gems and used some Stampin’ Up Witches’ Brew washi tape for the ribbon on the tags.

Another Spooktober project went into page 7 and 8, from this post, featuring Batty Jude.  With this one I didn’t need to add anything as the frame fit the page perfectly.

On pages 9 and 10 I’ve used the Spooktober project from this post and Jude Mummified as my image.  A bit of extra Stampin’ Up Witches’ Brew washi tape and the layout was done.

Pages 11 and 12 feature a recent Spooktober project, from this post, and the cute CaptainJude.

And finally, Page 13 features Jude Spook again in a graveyard scene and is my entry into Day 10 of the 13 Days of Halloween over at Simply B Stamps where the theme was anything goes with a graveyard scene.  I’m also entering it in the current Halloween challenge at Come and Get It Challenges.

Update: This last page won at Simply B Stamps.

Macabre Reflections

It’s the final week of Spooktober and I have a number of special projects to share (provided I get them all finished!) and two for today.  The first is my entry to Day 9 of the 13 Days of Halloween at Simply B Stamps where the theme is Splattered and who better to splatter than Corinne?

This is a little compact I made, it was very silver so I added some patina to the rim, the background is black, Corinne’s favourite colour.  I needed something to add interest to the background and the splatter theme was just perfect, I went with red for blood, as red is also Corinne’s favourite colour and she is a bit bloodthirsty!  Well, OK, not really, but she likes to pretend!  The image is a cropped version of the image Betty drew for Corinne for her birthday last year.  You can’t really see the smoke she is blowing in the photo and the Diamond Glaze I used to seal it made her lips run :-(
My second project is also an off-the-page and features the lovely Pipper, from the Burtonweenies collection at Simply B Stamps.

This choker turned out almost exactly as I imagined, there are supposed to be some red sugar skulls in the open zip part but I have turned my craft room upside down and can’t find them!  Most of the pieces I got from my local fabric and craft stores.  I’ve gone with a red and black theme again and Pipper as she is Corinne’s favourite Simply B Stamps’ image, I’ve just cropped her to fit the vintage frame.
There’s a Halloween challenge over at Craft Mojo, where I am linking up my choker.  And, as this is definitely not a card and features ribbon, I ‘m also entering it in the current challenge at Crafty Ribbons.

Oh, and Corinne, no need to call dibs on these, they are headed your way just as soon as I can make it to the post office, just my way of saying…
To someone who is truly a wonderful person, despite all the pins!

Let Them Eat Cake!

Day 8 of the 13 Days of Halloween at Simply B Stamps brought the challenge of

“Coming out of the ground, get down and boogie with the zombie's…Anything Zombie”.  For my project I decided to use Marie Back from Death, a beautiful zombie and decorate an apothecary jar.

Although poor Marie never uttered the words, “Let them eat cake”, I thought it was fitting for something that will house sweets.  Although I am also tempted to fill it with my paper roses!

I don't think I read the challenge right as Marie isn't coming out of the ground!  Hopefully I am on the right track with the Haunted Design House Zombies and Creeps' challenge where I'm also linking this.  Creative Fingers have a challenge going of anything goes with an optional twist of inspired by the movies, my jar meets the first half but probably not the second, I know there was a Marie-Antoinnette movie but I don't think she was a zombie in it!
